Woke up one morning, just about nine, asteroids were fallin out of the sky!
Into buildings, into people, into each and every church steeple
Destruction all around

Well the very first thing I went to do is see what they were sayin on the news
I didnt wanna be the only one around who didnt know what was goin down
Couldnt believe my eyes
They said asteroids were falling out of the sky!

I called my friend to get his ear to see if this is something I should fear
He said no man, there aint no way, this was all put on by the MTA
Think about it
If no one can drive on the streets, everyone will have to take the subway
Dont let em win!
Drive right through those asteroids

Well I stepped outside to buildings on the ground, carnage and chaos all around
Seen this gal in a corduroy coat yelling asteroids were all a hoax
I thought my god what a relief!
I went to ask her more but she got taken out
They sure are good at covering this thing!

I did not know what to believe when my favorite senator came on screen
He had a nice suit and a real nice voice so I had no doubt hed make the right choice
But I missed what he said
I was caught up watching Wife Swap

I decided I should head downtown and see what fun was going down
My favorite ever comedian had a spot down at the Plaza Inn
Hopped in a cab
Took a few cabs, cause they kept getting totaled
I just about flew off the handle when I saw that hed gone and canceled
I mean I love the guy, but be a man
Theyre only asteroids!

Well things aint too bad I sppose, the water stopped coming out of my stove
My roof should hold a few more days and it dont matter if my bills are paid
I just wonder if well ever know what really happened
I bet not



I dont know bout you but Ill speak for me, I was raised to know I can see
If asteroids ever fall out the sky I wont have to hear it from some other guy
I can see it for myself
Should happen any day now
