It is a small victory i am giving myself considering i feel like i have not accomplished enough this week. I got through 2 kings, 1 chronicles and 2 chronicles so far this week. I have not done any actual work on my youtube channel or my education unfortunately.

Use those chapters and what you took from them. Turn it into a video for your channel and a paper for school. Two birds, one stone.

That is actually a great idea. I have a difficult time sitting at my computer desk. Once i do everything comes together typically.

I was thinking of getting into the catholic books but i think i will wait til i actually get through the bible a couple mores. I am a little over 20% done, the first time i got through the bible it took me about 1 year and half. I have gotten this was in about 3 months so i am making great time.

You pick up pieces of wisdom here and there every few chapters. Reading the old testament makes me think we should not be eating pork. Reading other chapters makes me think God put meon this earth to establish an empire. There is so much wisdom in the books. Like king solomon asking god for wisdom to lead his people and being rewarded for it. It makes a lot of sense and motivates me to gain wisdom. There is a lot more too. I have the belief that listening to scripture strengthens the spirit and cleanses the soul. I also believe i can influence others to continue on theirpath of righteousness or start theirpath.

Just finished ezra book.

That is 15/66 now.

Something I never got about Christians is they believe the bible is the word of the one god of the universe, the key to eternity I paradise, and they're all "eh I'll read it all eventually"

Wouldn't you devote yourself entirely to study it like a monk for at least a year??

Reading scholarly about the Bible, I don't believe it inerrant. There's lots of questions and the Jewish people throughout history have interesting views, some laws are from God, some just man's invention.
Still a Christian though. Just acknowledge that there's some questions.

That said, I remember one of the Kings being a darn SLOG to get through.
Was surprised at Solomon taking lots of forced labor from his own people.
Shows the start of his fall.

you should be reading something like the Oxford Annotated Bible

so reading the bible isn't enough that is more than 99% of folks will ever do but ok.
