So many of us would get new phones every 2 years without fail because the upgrades were noticeable and worth it, but now, the difference between a 2 year old flagship phone and a new flagship phone aren't really significant enough to really matter unless you're really, really, really into camera stuff. Processing power is largely the same and it's not really needed for anything except camera stuff anyway. Every mobile game, even the "high end" ones will work on any flagship phone from the last handful of years, but if you're just doing normal phone stuff, there's really no point not to just run the phone you have into the ground before upgrading.

I'm on a note 10 plus, it's been paid off a couple months now, which saves me a lot of money on the bill, and it still works great, no cracks or anything. The battery is still fine too, only seems slightly less than when I bought it, and charges so damn fast it doesn't matter anyway.

I have a 2016 phone and it works completely fine

What do people do on their 2021 super phones anyway?
