If you can't make yourself eat well and exercise, just stop eating after you've eaten half of your shitty meal. I'm doing that now and it does help.

Eat more slowly and you'll start getting full before you finish. Then you can just stop. Anyone done this?

You can just save the rest as leftovers or just not eat the rest. It's better to avoid obesity than to make yourself never "waste food."

Combine that with pushing yourself to your physical limitations and staying there (in Glorious Agony) and you WILL get in shape. Might even happen over night if you really really try. What moves you?

People have this axiomatic principle that it's better to eat the food you have rather than toss it or recycle it. If eating the food you have is causing you to gain weight and your health suffers, that's not a principle that should be followed.

This is slightly different. Eat half of whatever portion you give yourself and wait until it settles in. If you're not still starving, throw it away or save it for leftovers.
