I've read first hand accounts of what happened and seen the aftermath, but I don't know if it's truly his fault or not. Is it up to him? Did he know? Is the venue responsible? Is it up to the emergency crew? Was it majorly the fault of the audience? Was it just a crazy situation overall?

I don't really know the nitty gritty of how it happened in the first place.

Nah, but he definitely deserves to be shunned for celebrating his fans dying at Dave and Buster's

It's a lot of people's fault including him, but he's probably one of the least to be held liable. Although seeing people being taken aways by paramedics should've been cause enough to stop for a while. Guy is still an asshole and deserves everything coming his way.

He definitely shares some blame

hed already been arrested, and plead guilty, twice for inciting a riot at his concerts (for encouraging his fans to push/rush the stage)

and yet he continued to market his shows as a place to rage.

it aint a mosh pit if theres no injuries

Yes. This wasn't an isolated incident. This was something that built up due to him not giving a fuck about his fans. A lot of people are to blame and he's one of them. A lot of people treat grown celebrates like they're children that don't know better. You're just succumbing to an abusive relationship.

I hope that's just a joke >_<. I just meant people in general tho. People gotta stop idolizing someone just cause they can make a catchy song. That doesn't mean they give a microscopic fuck about you. And this is one of the best showcases of that. Go look at artists who stopped shows when people were getting hurt and didn't continue to play music that people would start dumbing out to even harder for. That's what a non abusive relationship looks like.

I wasn't joking =(. Yeah, I know celebrity worship is a little crazy sometimes. I guess part of it is that I really like his music a lot. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve what's coming to him, I'm simply asking who's responsible cause I actually don't know.

You mean like Travis did at this festival, when he saw someone he assumed had passed out? Anyone thinking he thought or knew worse are just lying to themselves. People passing out is a very common thing at festivals, and him stopping the show while the vast majority of other festivals just continue on, shows that he does care about his fans. Ive been the passed out person, and seen enormous amounts of passed out people and not once did the show even pause for a second.

Security, authority, and Live Nation are the ones to blame. You see those entrance gates get pushed and thrown to the side, people running into security, people running through gates to get to the merchandise? The show should have never gone on. Live Nation should account for 99% of the blame because theyre the ones that saw all that, saw the people passing out and worse, had ambulance(s) show up, saw the crowd rush, and never thought to cancel or stop the show.

Something that comes with evidence of Travis encouraging this kind of stuff at his shows. Imagine being security and the dude everyone worships tells everyone not to respect you doing your job. I'm sure that makes it real easy on them.

Tho I do agree with

This is part of it. If not used as a scapegoat for Travis.

You conveniently are avoiding addressing his history and I got nothing to say if you continue to avoid the most obvious responsibility issue

This, pretty much.

Is he an asshole and douchebag to the highest caliber? Yes. Does he deserve some accountability for marketing his live performances as some anarchist zone? Absolutely.

But mainstream popular musical performers don't exist in a vacuum, they're a reflection of society as a whole. The people allowed Travis Scott to become as big and assholish as he is by worshipping him and his shitty autotune.

He should be held financially liable at least in part when he failed to stop the concert for any period of time when he saw the ambulance. It was obvious he was perplexed and not sure how to proceed but ultimately was like fuck it, show must go on. A concern for the health and safety of his fans should have trumped the pressure of performing for a massive paycheck. I mean he's stopped a show because he thought an underage kid was trying to steal his shoes and promptly told the crowd to kick the kid's ass. He's more concerned about his shoes than the lives of his fans. He's a selfish prick and his antics finally bit him in the ass.

It's not really how much he was responsible, but rather irresponsible.
