Do you need to stop?

Depends. What I find justifiable someone else might not feel the same about.

Like people at my job hate this one girl for snitching on a dude for sleeping. Normally id agree with them as its very difficult not to fall asleep from time to time. But this dude does it everyday and once nearly caused her to piss herself cause she needed him to hit a button to open the door so she could get to the bathroom. Another time she found six shanks but one of them fell and hit the floor and some inmates woke up and started gathering arounf and she couldn't budge him to let her out and away from them.

So while other people now think of her as a snitch and dislike her, I understand her side of things.

Now sleeping on the job is wrong in the first place but as said its a job where the majority end up doing it at least once in awhile cause it's night shift and after a certian hour when the inmates are in bed you have no stimuli to help keep you awake. We aren't allowed to read anything non work related cant listen to music or anything. Basically sit and stare into the abyss. But this guy sleeps most of the shift and is very hard to wake up. At least most people wake up easy enough

Yes and no.

I'm pretty good about admitting when I'm wrong about something but I use my depression and anxiety to excuse too much. I know that's true and I also know that's part of it and it's really complicated. It's certainly a good way to keep shame in my life. :-/

Yeah im good at admitting when I'm wrong but excuses come into play sometimes.but they are usually true excuses if I go that route. Doesnr make it excusable imo just explaining why it happened. Like I got in trouble at work for calling a code foe a medical emergency then walking away from said emergency. Not supposed to do that but dude was puking everywhere I already have a bad gag reflex when it comes to puke and was sick on my stomach that day so if I stuck arounf I woulda been puking too.
