Mostly true. 99.9% true when it comes to the person with whom you're directly arguing. But there's always a slight chance you can say something that gets through to someone who's observing the argument.

I think part of the issue is people don't like to educate and inform genuinely. When they educate, they're very elitist and arrogant about it and no one wants to listen to that person even if he is speaking facts.
