I dont know anything about him as a person.
Given the two scenarios its just far easier to believe he was guilty of at least some of the shit he was accused of instead of him being completely innocent, admitting he did it anyways, considering killing himself, not going through with it and then claiming it was all lies and trying to restore his former fame/reputation. The latter is so hard to even consider remotely believable on any level.
