I personally start scoring the super buggy/unplayable games at 6/10. A 7 is like a passing grade and the equivalent of me saying "this is a functional game that didn't impress me in the slightest." I haven't played Cyberpunk yet, but I can't imagine it would still be that bad of a game when it's fixed.

What's the point of a 10 point scale if 6 is "Unplayable", what the hell are 1 to 5?

4 and 5 I guess would be shitty games even if they worked. Like I played the Ascent earlier this year with local co-op and my god was that a piece of shit that also performed like shit on a standard Xbone. I've played Skryim on PS3 back when it was new, and although it didn't perform as bad as the Ascent it was a game that I enjoyed despite the issues.

1-3 are joke games that should never have seen the light of day on whatever storefront you find them on. They could also be like a really bad mobile game that's an obvious ripoff and filled with "borrowed" assets from other games. I'm not a reviewer obviously, and if anything my thoughts are affected by schoolwork where anything below a 70 is failing.

Nah the shittiest games dont get talked about as much or as long as this.

Ive picked up games in bargain bins ive never heard of and still never heard anyone mention that are definitely shittier even if less glitchy. But Bethesda is proof a game can be an absolute buggy mess and still top the charts. Ignoring the business cyberpunk just didnt live up to the hype. It's still a fun game when its working properly. Id say 6.5 to 7.5 out of ten depending on personal experience as not all of us got hit hard with the glitches. Worth a go if you get it cheap enough.

It's "funny" - I put a couple dozen hours into it (or so, I don't remember specifically - a decent amount) and it was fairly bug-free. I think the biggest one was I wasn't getting exp for a couple different skills.

It was just kinda mediocre even without the bugs, sadly. Solid 5/10, maybe 6/10 if you really like the setting.

That hype wasn't all on them though. Sure, CDPR's management has alot to answer for for rushing the game out the door, but the public carries a not insignificant portion of blame for pushing that hype.

Okay, my scoring tier:

1 = More of a broken mess than a dsitrict bombed-out glass factories, and looks and plays like a game of volley ball with a leaky sphere of self-replenishing liquid feces. To call this a video game is an insult to the term itself.
Countless asset flip "games" on Steam rightfully earn this score.

2 = A thoroughly horrible game that had its dismal destiny sealed from its inception and will inevitably find itself in one of those "worst games of <year>" or "on the <system>" lists, if not "worst games of all time" lists.
Bubsy 3D is a perfect example.

3 = This could've been playable, maybe even entertaining, but a glut of grievious errors, poor design, and overall incomptence by the dev team ruins it.
Big Rigs fits the bill.

4 = Simply below average all over the board with a few exceptions, though despite its shortcomings it's (mostly) playable and occasionally entertaining. But the overall feeling is... "meh".
Driv3r earns this score.

5 = It plays well, sounds decent, looks alright, and you will say to yourself "yeah, this game's okay, I guess." it's neither a failure or a success, but admittedly, it could've been better. A lot better, with just a little more effort. Maybe it lacked ambition?
I give this score to a racing game on the PS1 called C3 Racing.

6 = The good outweighs the bad, but the bad is hard to ignore. The sound design could leave a lot to desire, some levels are uninspired, the visuals are underwhelming, maybe a touted feature is underutilized, there are some missed opportunities, glitches abound, etc. Whatever it is, it drags it down from being truly good game.
I think of Killzone.

7 = An enjoyable, competently produced game that does most things right, though it's far from perfect, or even great. The flaws can be obvious, but the end result is a positive experience.
The very first TimeSplitters deserves this score.

8 = An indisputably good game where all the pieces fall neatly together to create a memorable package that doesn't disappoint, even if there are some wonky aspects or puzzling design choices. It might not win any best game of the year awards either, but that certainly doesn't make it bad.
Duke Nukem 3D gets this score.

9 = Fantastic to look at, a delight to hear, and a joy to play. Will be remembered by most who played it as an excellent game. It also finds itself on those "best games of <year>" or "for the <system>" lists. Well, maybe the game has something a little odd about it, but only nitpickers care to raise a stink about it.
Gran Turismo is a niner game.

10 = The best of the best. Virtually perfect. Flawless. Legendary. Will be talked about for years by those who played it, and will be revisited by people who weren't born when it was released. Frequently cited as one of the best games of all time.
It's Super Mario Bros. 3, isn't it?
