Why take it from an atheist video game maker when you can hear it from:

an author, speaker, scholar, and global traveler, who holds graduate degrees in Theology & Intercultural Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and received his doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Fuller. He is the author of Undiluted: Rediscovering the Radical Message of Jesus, and Unafraid: Moving Beyond Fear-Based Faith.

https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/

Pretty long read, and some of the examples are a bit of a reach, but just the sheer amount of call-outs in the bible that match up are pretty interesting.

I was thinking about this the other day. The anti-Christ doesn't exist but if it did it would look very much like Donald Trump. At very least, he's the classic example of a false prophet. He literally called himself "the chosen one".

American conservative Christians are the pinnacle of hypocrisy. They live and preach the absolute polar opposite of the message of Jesus Christ, as did Donald Trump.

Trump is a monument to sin, he holds position to the direct opposite of those Jesus expressed and those expressed in the constitution. And yet they make him out to be a champion for god? A hero who is going to bring the constitution back to what it was supposed to be?

It doesn't make sense, and I know I'm one who argues the biggest difference between the two sides is reality, but still it really doesn't make sense that people can think this if they read the bible even a single time.

Beyond that, the "Trump is the anti-Christ!" is silly considering that the anti-Christ is supposed to be a highly popular, almost universally beloved figure. You'd have a better case for Obama than Trump, whose approval ratings tended to stay around 40% (which iirc is where Biden is now?)

Yeah I've had this thought for a while. Evangelicals always go on about how they'll know the anti-Christ when they see him. And yet they willingly worship somebody that fits the description, and they refuse to acknowledge that that's wrong.

I've talked to a not insignificant number of Christians (well, it's a sizable number for me, since I don't talk to people much) who do believe that people put him up as a golden calf at best, and believe him to be an anti-christ at worst. The comparison is actually pretty easy to make.

Of course it's an easy comparison, some people have put their loyalty and faith to him above all else. It's disturbing that I have family members who think he is practically the second coming.

What of the people who have accepted him as their lord and savior? Is he still a christian while standing as a false idol?

It is 100% a gimmick account. This is actually the first post I've seen them make in a while that wasn't that objectively false copy paste about vaccines.
