YouTube and reddit are abuzz about it. Lots of bugs, tons of missing songs, horrendous character models, lots of weird control changes etc.. Co-op mode is removed from San Andreas for instance. They improved the controls somewhat, but now you can't sprint at a car and hit the open car door button and get in right away, you now have to stop running and then hit the open door button.

Lots of weird physical issues, crashing, etc..

I think one comment I saw sums it up: you're paying $60 for ps2 games with removed content and worse character models.

I'm enjoying it, but a patch is needed and even if it weren't needed, I can totally see why other fans would be disappointed with the overall product.

I've seen people say they want the obscuring fog put back in because it's odd how you can see the other cities from the city you're in in San Andreas.

Yeah and in gta3, removing fog seemed to have removed the atmosphere entirely.

Seems like a silent hill 2 remaster all over again lol.

Was watching a vice city one and the parallaxing background with the clouds looks goofy as fuck. Like you're in the Truman Show with the wall barrier with clouds on the horizons ground.

Supposedly they used machine learning to redo everything in unreal engine, then they went in and manually did what the AI got wrong.

This game was made by a robot y'all. The future is wild.

The missing songs could be understandable.. They have a done and licensing songs is expensive. Rockstar probably didn't want to continue paying royalties
