Nah, sword has decent range for a melee weapon, but I might be a little biased because I had some great boons the last time I used it.

For me right now, I think it's:
Shield > Spear >= Bow > Sword > Gun > Gloves

Funnily enough, my first impression of the gloves was fantastic because the first boon I got was one that gave them a big-ass range.

I think this might be my favorite attack buff, especially if you also get the one that makes enemies take more damage when they're Weak too.

She has the worst Cast though.

I quite like the Demeter aspect of the fists. The shield is the weapon that I could never personally make work.

I disliked the shield until I unlocked the Aspect of Zeus. Turning the special into its own little Blade Rift is fucking great. There's also a Zeus boon which just fucking breaks it because it summons lightning whenever you deal damage with your special. I used it to beat the Bone Hydra for the first time.

Fair enough, but with a simple setup that shotgun can do something around 1000 damage per second from the start, with just three Bloodstones.

Factor in Pom boosts, Exit Wounds and other damage bonuses, and you can easily do 4x that by the endgame.

Gun + Hellfire attachment with Artemis (special critical) + Fire special 3 times in quick succession + Hermes Fire Special Faster + constant pom upgrades

Clears encounters in under ten seconds, so much fun.

Fists with Breaching Cross, Rolling Knuckle, and some crit from Artemis absolutely fucking shreds.
