Would you ever want a house that only needs a passcode rather than a keylock to enter the house?

Technology has advanced these days and keyless door locks are becoming more popular now than you think...a lot of newer houses have just a passcode or both a passcode and traditional key but either way, passcodes could be the wave of the future for door locks.

Personally, i think this could be bad cause a) it could malfunction and b) you could easily forget and if you're running from a psycho killer, you're as good as toast....

Would you have doorlocks like these?

I currently have a keypad on my front door. It's broken. So it's fortunate there's also a key.

I have one.

It also has a keyhole as a backup.

I have a code/key combo and I haven't used the key in like 4 months. The code is so convenient and necessary for when you forget your keys. Or if the auto-lock triggers while you're outside.

I'd be fine with a code/key combo but would not want a true keyless lock.

Yeah, those things are super convenient until they're not.

My friend's apartment building had a keyless system forced on them (no more physical keys), and when either the internet or electricity went out, they literally could not open the door to get out

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

I've seen too many lockpicking lawyer videos to trust normal locks...but i don't think i want one like that.
