maybe not underrated, but in recent memory, maybe Wasteland 3, which is really underappreciated, IMO.

one of the best RPGs to come out in a long time.

Donkey Kong 64 was a victim of bad timing (tail end of a generation) and absorbed criticism that was more the fault of the entire genre it represented (at a time when collectathons were at peak saturation).

It's not a masterpiece... it's just afforded nowhere near the same level of respect that other, very similar games are given.

I played that game so much when I was 5-7ish... remember making consistent progress despite absolutely zero idea what I was doing. Also remember raging at the arcade stuff & finding the game really scary at the time for whatever reason
