Which should I replay (First) before Elder Ring?

So yeah, no time to replay all of them (thank god), but I may replay a few. I'm leaning towards Bloodborne as I never played the DLC. Also have not finished Nioh II.

I have tons of other games that are kinda like it, like Code Vein etc, but didn't list em as I don't really think they are in contention and are not similar enough for me. Still if there is one you think should be on the list and that I should replay I'd love to hear about it.

Well nobody has posted what their others are, so I'm gonna go with Bloodborne for now (it's a tie, but I was already leaning towards bloodborne). If one of the others gets way ahead I'll switch, but BB is also the one on the list I have not played for the longest time.

I still have demon souls for my ps2 but havn't hooked it up forever, and not really worth doing (I wanna do the remake on ps5 eventually though).

DS II may be my favorite of the three actually. Each had their own advantages, though I have hard a hard time playing the remastered vs of DS1. DS3 seems easier then the others, with tons of fireshrines etc. Still I did love 3, (I have loved them all).

But yeah, I'd just skip right to scholar of the first sin though for DSII, it is very worth playing at least one of them.

Technically that would be Nioh II since I didn't even finish it (doubt I even got halfway through it) but I also played it the most recent (and it didn't keep my attention well enough). I enjoyed the first Nioh more for some reason).

Code Vein was way better than it had any right to be imo, granted it was quite literally "Dark Souls with Anime" but i still had a blast with it. Also it gets props for it's co-op system not being a pain in the ass.

I barely gave Code Vein a shot, I need to get back into that game, but I'm doing Bloodborne right now, guess I'll hit that next.

So I tried Dark Souls when it came out, finished Blight town, decided I didn't like it, and quit

Should I give From a second chance, and if so what game should I choose?

Do you like zombies and dragons? Play Dark Souls 1 or 3. Do you like werewolves and tentacles? Play Bloodborne

If Blight Town made you quit the rest of the game is much better, Blight Town is a huge "fuck you" area.

Honestly it's a bit controversial, but I think Dark Soul 3 is the best starting out game of the bunch. It's easier, there are no "crap" areas (Not overly found of the swampbut that is as bad as it gets), and there are literally firelink shrines almost every 5 feet so you can almost always rush to a boss fight quickly to retry it.

Also has the best movement/dodging etc (partially why it's easier).

My two favorites are Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne, but since Elden Ring doesn't look nearly as clunky as DKS1 (and I mean that in the best way) go Bloodborne.

I used to hate and I mean HATE Blighttown. Especially the 360's "4 FPS" version. But once you realize that they put torches next to the ladders it's not too terrible. I will say that the intended way to go through it (from The Depths) is a lot harder than going in the back way (giggity). And thankfully those toxic dart guys don't respawn when you kill them either.

Oh Wolfy, hard disagree with you here. I thought DKS3 was the hardest of them all. I was able to get to the final castle after lots and lots of dying (and I do mean lots). I beat the first DKS1 a few times, I beat DKS2, but I don't know what it is but it's like your guy in DKS3 moves like the one in Bloodborne only you don't have the HP regain on counterattack mechanic. It seems like every enemy is way too aggressive and take a ton of hits to kill. And I even had really good weapons (Spiked Mace +9 / Dorthys' Gnawing spell, etc). But the thing about From games is what's impossible for one guy is easy for the next. The Watchers I think I died more than 30 times total easily. The Dancer took me a couple days. Eff those guys. But Pontiff Sulihan or w/e he is I beat on the second try, and that boss is supposed to be super difficult for many.

I played and finished 3 a few times right when it launched, really enjoyed it. My first build was insane though, int based, but due to the way weapons worked in the game and the setup I had, I still did extreme damage with my melee attacks, while having maxed out spell damage.

The spells made many parts of the game WAY easier, and certainly helped with many of the boss fights. I never summoned anything to help me, nor did I ever block anything.

The watchers were just fun for me, though I know they were a breaking point for many. I used the pillars with spells to make short work of the Dancer as well. Even if I did have a hard time with a boss fight in 3, it was usually easy to just sprint right back and fight it again without fighting anything along the way. That really is what made it easier to me (that and the spell system being like 1 again and spells being so powerful etc).

It's so easy (for me at least) I even did a shortbow only run (literally only used the shortbow..think I had to use a torch or something once or twice) for all my fights/boss fights etc lol.

Could also be just how much I had played those types of games by the time 3 came out, I went into it with really good skills already, but yeah, for me it's the easiest by far.
