I'd rather be alive around late 90's / Early 2000's. Internet existed, cost of living was ok, media was generally high quality (not across the board - but games were actually completed and sold - you didn't buy the beta version and have it updated over a several-year span, for example). Telephones were still a thing and people weren't 'connected' 24/7. Granted, some things started to go down-hill, and off course you had the whole 9/11 & Middle East thing, but life in general was pretty enjoyable. Just the right balance of modern technology IMO. I just gotta deal with it and find as much happiness or contentment as I can. This is definitely a better era than most though.
