Rant incoming.

I dont get it. WTF are you doing? You are doing it when its dark too? So fucking stupid. You mess around and get hit and will want to cry foul on the driver, which is their fault, while you put yourself in that situation for no reason. So dumb. The government spent our tax money on those sidewalks for a reason.

Happened fairly often in one strangely designed chunk of my old city, since street section was this massive oblong.

I do that sometimes around where I live cause the sidewalks have sections missing because sidewalks were either installed when the house was built or not at all and often times cars are blocking them. So walking on the street is easier.

Saw some guy walking in the middle of the street along the yellow line on halloween night in my town. People are strange.

People mostly do that here only when the sidewalk is iced over in the winter.

I run on the road every day because the sidewalks are either full of cracks and uneven, I have to constantly duck under trees every 10ft, or the sidewalk ends abruptly every quarter mile

If they didn't make shitty sidewalks, I would run on them

Yes? That's why I do it. It's dark and my sidewalks are uneven. Some legit look like an earthquake hit. But I walk on the opposite way of where the cars are coming, and I walk in the bike lane, so as to not bother drivers.

It happens a lot here in the winter. Our sidewalks often don't get plowed or salted and are very slippery.

A lot of people here drive multiple big ass SUVs or trucks, so even though nearly every house has a two vehicle garage and four vehicle driveway, there are always dickheads blocking the sidewalk with vehicles bumper to bumper from the street to garage door. Nowhere else to go. Though I do try to be as brief as possible about it, some people just choose to stay in the street instead of going back and forth.

It is illegal to block the sidewalk and people do get ticketed for it but that doesn't seem to deter anyone.
