They didn't go into a whole lot of detail, no. So unfortunately I don't know. But that is a good question

As long as it's no too involved or you have to craft critical items like healing upgrades i won't mind too much.

Right, it could be as simple as the blacksmith in Ruins Seeker or cooking in BotW, give or take a step, and the average person should be fine with it since it shouldn't interrupt the flow of actual gameplay too much.

Long as your items don't break over time so you constantly have to replace them, i'll be happy.

Honestly though, it looks awesome, a slightly less dark souls with an even larger open world. Just so far away still sigh, I want it NOW!!

item crafting is pointless busywork and every game that has it needs to be fined

I like searching for items in dark souls like games and will miss that if it's not in ER at all. I like the crafting mech in those where you can get items to upgrade stuff along the way etc. Being able to collect items to build new ones would rock as well, as long as it's part of the searching etc, and not the only way to get good/new items etc.

I still have not really seen the level up system for ER, so that is very important as well. The world and combat look great, but I need to be able to customize my characters as I play and have a sense of progress/increased power as I go. That is just as important for me to be honest.

No matter what, it's worth a purchase for me, so i'll get it day 1, but I really wanna know more about upgrade potential, both for equipment, stats etc along the way.

Yeah I have since fallen out of love when games have such a big emphasis on crafting (from what it looks like, this will too). It's even seeped itself into Animal Crossing, ick. Now it's like every game has to include it but I find it a turn off.
