I want to get decent at it, not be like an expert or whatever. But I mostly taught myself bass and... I'm not so good at it.

Get a keyboard start noodling around. Find a starter book and learn the keys.

Lessons give me a place to be where I have no choice but to focus on the material. Some people learn better in a more structured environment. I learned violin in school and taught myself guitar and a few other instruments at home. Guitar took me years to actually give a fuck about, but then it finally clicked. Now I'm working on drums and just using videos and such to learn.
You already know you don't really do well learning an instrument on your own. Probably just don't have the urge to or whatever, I get that. I say go and pay for a few lessons and see how you like it. That being said, I've tried plenty of times to learn the piano and I just cant. My girlfriend is really damn good at it and gets frustrated when she tries to teach me lol --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
