The blue EMMI in Ferenia seems to be able to sense you move no matter where it is, and has an extremely long sight range. I'm half-expecting them to just say "fuck it" and make the last area in the game just one big EMMI area where you won't be safe anywhere. How's that for dread?

Yep, kinda anticlimactic overall, but a good way to show how powerful Samus was getting.

Once you get the Power Bomb, the whole world opens up to you. Best to get all the upgrades now as you are pretty much about to reach the endgame.

I'd probably recommend trying to get as many upgrades you can. The final boss is a pretty long + challenging fight, so having as many of the upgrades you can get helps out alot.

Once I knew all the Shinespark rules then they became kinda fun. Like you basically work backwards from the end point to the closest area you can build a speed boost and go from there. You feel like a badass when you pull them off.

Welp, I have 100% every area with items (had to use a guide for few of the Speed Block puzzles), and am about to fight Raven Beak, I assume.

Fuck whoever decided to put jump and the Shinespark activation on the same button, though.

Welp, I beat the game.

So, Samus is a full-on Metroid now, and Raven Beak is--was--her father? Even though I'm not a mega fan of the series, it'll be interesting to see where the story goes now that Samus is everything the Galactic Federation fought against. Her final transformation was pretty cool as well, but it didn't really last long; I guess the X Parasites can't always fully take over the minds of the beings they infect, since the infected Quiet Robe saved Samus' life and restored her suit in the end.

Raven Beak took a few tries to beat, but I don't think he was too hard. Then again, I guess it's all about how many upgrades--or more specifically--Energy Tanks you have. And it did help that if you played correctly, you had ample opportunities to restore your health in the first and third phases.

Also, even though I got 100% of the items, I didn't get the obligatory shot of Samus outside of her suit, assuming that it's still present. Then again, it took me almost 15 hours to beat the game, so I guess you have to speedrun it to get the privilege...

I don't think I'll be doing another run, though.

i didnt get all the items but i got at least 85% of the overall items.

and glad i did cause boy, that Raven Beak dude was a tough cookie to crunch! probably the boss i lost more times to!

it was a doozy once i mastered its attack patterns tho. lol

What? The final Dread EMMI was the hardest VG boss since the MGS3 Ladder encounter
