Never had to deal with this before. I took a pic of her insurance card. Do I just call my insurance company now and let them know?

Yes, call your insurance company and give them her insurance info. They should handle the rest.

Probably too late now, but its also good to get a police statement so that she cant lie later on and say you hit her. That happened to my brother, but luckily he was able to get footage from the store and prove she backed into him.

Well dont listen to post 2. A lot of times your insurance will need an event number. Call your insurance, take pictures of damage and give them their insurance

IIRC when this happened to me I called my insurance and gave them the other insurance info and they dealt with it through them.

However my friend was the person that hit me coming out of his driveway so he was super cooperative for the whole thing, even admitting fault. Strangers are less trusting.

Well I didn't call the cops. But she did apologize a whole bunch and the area the damage is in makes it obvious she backed into me

Note that insurance can be extremely slow to process claims. How did it happen? Who is your insurance?

Simple call to insurance and have someone come take a look at it. If you have good coverage they will set up an appointment for a repair at the cost of the others insurance agency. If they have any.

Might just be able to send them the pictures and they will say ok.

I hope she doesnt change her story.

A dude ran head on into my moms car & totaled it. Police came to that and wrote him a ticket. When my mom called insurance to get the claim going turns out he was trying to make a claim against her insurance to pay for his damages. We live in an at fault state so dude was out of his mind. With the police report easy to get that fixed.
