I would like at those Todd MacFarlane Spider-Man cover arts he use to do and wonder how in the fuck anyone is capable of drawing something with that level of detail.

I can't even draw a clean rectangle ffs.

A lot of artists do actually omit some or all of the lines if they don't have to be there. Look at some panels where he's not front and center. Spider-Man becomes more of a general concept.

The webbing goes in a specific direction, so its the same thing every time you draw it. After youve done it once, its not really a big deal and it takes less time than youd think. For me personally, its more annoying to draw Miles Morales costume. Theres less webbing, but the lines are thicker

I actually like drawing the webbing on the costume, it really makes the drawing feel like it has some depth to it if you do it right
