She is actually quite nice and approached me on a fence when I was out for my daily walk and let me pet her. I left her there, but night fell and on the way back and she was still sitting on the fence near a canal where I found her puffing up trying to stay warm and sleep. If she knew where home was chances are she would have headed back well before then. There aren't any farms near where I was, chickens are vulnerable to frostbite(Below 35 where I am at tonight) and she could have been attacked and easily killed by the local wildlife like raccoons and coyotes so that's why I took her. Fed her some corn, spinach and other unsalted veggies and gave her some water. She is sleeping in a animal carrier at the moment. But I understand if you wouldn't wanna keep a chicken lol A decade ago I had a paper route and along one of the roads I kept coming across stray chickens. Must have gotten out of a truck or something. Stuffed em in my trunk and dropped them off in a safe area next to a chicken house.
