I'm specifically looking for movies where the filmmakers modeled the villain after these guys, not ones where they bear similarities by coincidence

if it came out in 1998 they obviously didn't base the villain on elon musk or jeff bezos

yeah that's a good example, it's obvious watching and the director has said that was the inspiration.

and I haven't watched the movie but I've seen a scene from a transformers movie where the villain seemed like he was based on steve jobs, so yeah that one also seems likely

When I saw Truman Show I thought the villain was based on steve jobs but I'm really not sure. IDK if steve jobs was so big at the time the movie was made.
