Yes, but I was over 20 years ago.
But it was a classic speed trap, everyone knows about, I can't believe I fell for it.
It's as on a small curve, where you are naturally accelerating out of a small town, into the country.

Ironically, I just came from a Yarn shop...and after I got the ticket, I drove on, and about a mile or so down the road, I found an escaped Horse wandering around the road.

Anyway, The Judge was cool about it, he even asked if the fine would be a hardship as it was around Christmas. It was only $100. I just sucked it up and paid.

I've gotten four since I started driving in 2011, but my latest one was 2016.

I actually got pulled over a few weeks ago for starting my acceleration up to 55mph too soon while it was still "30" in town (even though I was past all the residences, the speed limit sign was still out in the distance and I wasn't there yet (though it was totally visible)). Little rural town with one stop sign, so that's pretty much all they do, but nice guy let me off with a warning because he mentioned he had a trainee with him, so I think he was just showing him the step-by-step.

I was totally honest though and I think that plays a part in getting out. I told him I just lived one town over and I come through here fairly often. I said yeah I do realize now that the speed limit sign is still a bit farther away, so I did begin my acceleration early.

Got pulled over for 45 in a 30 when I was 16 in my hometown. Cop always sits there because it's one of those roads that doesn't feel like it should be 30mph. But the cop got a more important call from his car before he was able to write me up so he let me go.

Passed a state trooper going 70 in a 55 back in like 2008 in western NY, she whipped around and caught up to me like a mile later.

Speed trap going into a little village in Vermont, 40 in a 30 back in 09-ish.

I got a "speed not prudent" ticket after I went off the road in 2015 during winter but that got pled down.

I got my first one recently. There was nobody around on the freeway but myself and the police officer, who was going 80. My dumb ass thought Since hes clearly going 80, surely he wouldnt be petty enough to ticket me for going, like, 85

65. People typically cruise along at 85 on SoCal freeways, but obviously doing that right in front of a cop isnt a great idea.

Never a speeding ticket even though I live in LA and people break the speeding laws all the damn time. But I did get 3 tickets, one for not stopping 3 seconds at a stop sign (totally own up to that one lol), one for honking (it was at an asshole not going on a protected left turn who was clearly on his phone), and just got my first parking ticket for parking face out at a university.
