I got COVID the same week I got my first vaccine, my wife, who is fully vaccinated had COVID way worse than I did, she was out of commission for a few days, I had a body ache, next day I felt fine

Im not anti vaxx, here is the definition of anti vaxx, since you dont know what it means:

Yeah, it might be the best bet to get a second shot, but it might not be right now. A person shouldn't get the shot to "fall in line" you should be getting vaccinated because it's the best option for your health, and if it's not the best option for your health right now you shouldn't get it right now.

This is a function of science. Not of this peer pressure shame bully cult.

Anybody who disagrees with this doesn't care about you, or about public health, or about science. They are the reason we have vaccine skeptics. Because they will lie and gaslight rather than admit:

"You know gosh, having COVID 1 month ago might actually change the calculation as to whether or not it's good to get vaccinated right now."
or
"You know, it is important that people not administer an intramuscular vaccine intravenously."

The truth doesn't matter to them. Your feelings and life experience does not matter to them, TC. The vaccine is largely safe and effective, but they aren't pro-vaccine because the vaccine helps people, they are pro-vaccine because it lets them talk down to other people.

As far as what actual science says is the best strategy for you right now. Unlike these bullies here, I actually care about science and reality, so we can talk about it:

The countries that tell people to wait longer seem to mostly do so out of a shortage of vaccine supply.

As far as how much a vaccine helps after you've had a COVID infection:

But this isn't to say you shouldn't get the second dose. Just that different sources suggest it might not make a huge difference.

However, the vaccines, administered as intended, do seem very safe, and so since there is virtually no risk you might still want to consider getting it. If you have concerns about the safety of getting your second dose I'd be willing to talk you through that and help maybe address some your concerns.

Considering how people have treated you in this topic though, I really don't blame you for just being done with it though. I'm so sick of these people who really don't give a shit about science just using this whole thing as an excuse to play a political bullying game.

In short: If you've had COVID, a second dose isn't going to make a huge difference but it will make some, and considering that the vaccines administered correctly are safe you could just get the shot to get "super immunity" and then just be done with it.
