Have a small scab on my elbow that I got when I fell like a month ago and scraped it a bit. Yesterday I woke up with a swollen, painful, red, warm and itchy elbow, today it had spread and I have fever.

I suspect that I'm more sensitive for infections cuz I've been treating my lichen planus rash on my feet with a very stron cortizone cream, last time I did this treatment I had a papercut on my finger get infected.

Prob from picking on the scab while having a bit compromised immune system due to the very strong cortizone cream. Last time I used the cream got a papercut and it eas infected for a week, didnt get that bad tho.

Its usually your native streptococcus bacteria living on you that infects if it gets the right conditions.

Woke up, its 12:30am soon. Redness is still the same as it was at 7pm. But my armpit hurts, so does my left wrist. Left arm feels weak.

It's better in the sense of less swelling, less red, less itchy, less warm, less pain, but the red still is spreading slowly. Also I dont' have fever or feeling sick anymore so it's better. Just annoying as fuck.

I didn't, I imagine it would be a bad idea, I want the heat and swelling the for the immune system to get there to fight the bacteria quicker. I'm just spitballing here but I imagine making it cold would take it longer for them to get there and fight it, well now also antibiotics are there. Besides it's not as bad anymore.

I love that my immune system rather focus on attacking my own skin (lichen planus), instead of the bacteria.

I'm having skin problems too. Why all this stuff happening now lol maybe it's the change of season

usually seasonal and cold months could trigger it. I used to get bad eczema, particularly on my hands cause I would wash my hands a lot and in hot water.

if you have eczema, try to wash in cold or luke warm water. Definitely not the hottest. eczema is the worst in winter.

Warning next pic is gross. Scab is now gone and under it a smelly wound with yellow goo in it.

Cleaned it and used some wound care stuff I grabbed from work.

Yeah don't do that, even if it's so satisfying but not worth the risk. Althoug most people it's not a problem cuz the immune system should just keep it clean, but the doctor said that since I have been using a strong cortizone cream on my body it has had a slight decrease on my immune system helping this to happen.
