I can't complain about how they wrapped it up, everyone has some solutions to their problems but they still have problems so it's not all cleanly resolved.

The last two seasons were really good so I was really expecting it to be more emotional than it was, or to feel more strongly about it, but I didn't... think it was just underwhelming how they finished Frank.

Don't regret it though, I loved that show.

The more I think about it, the more I see this as one long-ass mutated twisted version of the Metamorphosis.

I just recently finished watching season 10.
11 is the last one.
Yeah the lack of Fiona at all was kinda crazy. I was reminded of Beverly Hills 90210 a little and how they wrote Brenda off but at least they kept mentioning her throughout the series.

Captain, it got better in s10 and 11 I think. They did a good job keeping things fresh without opening up too many loose ends.

Did Ian and Mickey get a happy ending?

There were a couple moments here.

Mick's dad wound up paralyzed because Liam accidentally shot him in the head. They spent some time trying to find a caretaker for him but no one wanted to watch him because he was a racist ass neonazi POS. Eventually they find a nun to take care of him, but the nun believes he is a sinner and winds up suffocating him with a plastic bag. They go through his things and find that he had a photograph of a woman so they go track her down. It was a Jewish woman married to a Black man. They talk to her and realize Mick's dad had tried to convert to Judaism to make her father happy, but he couldn't learn Hebrew and the dad wouldn't condone their relationship so he wound up killing the dad, and then the woman moved on and found a Black man ("that explains it!").

Ian and Mick themselves wind up moving to a gentrified yuppie part of town on the West side. Mick has a hard time adapting, he hates that everything is fake, he didn't realize that the furniture in the demo apartment was just... demo furniture and that they weren't going to actually get it, so he's pissed off. But eventually Ian convinces him to give it a chance.

And they wind up with one of the best paying jobs of the family, moving money and weed for a big growhouse since it became legal.

Oh also they wanted to have a kid, they were afraid no one would adopt to them since they were a gay couple and convicted felons but Lip's girlfriend was pregnant. Lip didn't know what to do with the baby and Ian offered to adopt the kid from them. *And* forgot a big part, Ian and Mick got married.

Cool. They only have up to season 10 on Netflix. Hopefully the final season will be added soon.

It's a great show but I'm ready for it to end.

It is kind of like a safe for tv version of metamorphosis actually.
