A man died from rabies just days after being attacked by a pack of pit bulls during a street fight in Toekomsrus.

The sister of the deceased, Levan Erasmus, said the incident happened after Erasmus had a confrontation with the alleged owner of the dogs.

The family said they intend laying charges against the dog owners as soon as the post mortem results are released.

What about a foundation to prevent these attacks by cutting down on the number of them? At the very least, banning a pit owner of one from having any other dogs.
