It looks like a good balance of semi-creepy/ humor mix. Seems like its trying to be a bit more faithful to the first two than the last one.

Going in a fundamentally different direction tonally is probably the right call. The last movie showed that you can't easily replicate that "4 losers stumble through situations way above their pay grade" feel with that perfect blend of comedy if the cast isn't playing it completely straight. Going with a Stranger Things vibe where the cast of losers are kids stumbling through situations way above their pay grade will be a bit easier to pull off because the kids just have to believable kids and not replicate that unique dry blend of adult witticism from the original cast.

The new International trailer is super spoilery.

But then, they're also the kind of spoilers that mostly won't mean anything to people who aren't familiar with the original, who in that case would have worked a lot of it out from the previous less-explicit trailers, so eh.

It looks fantastic, though, it's easily my most anticipated movie at the moment.
