He rode from one town to where she was inside that compartment. His back paws and the tip of his tail were getting smashed by something under there. The lady who found him couldn't take him home so my friend did. Her mom is a retired vet tech so they nursed him back to health to the frisky kitty he is now. That was the day she brought him home. That was after he started his road to recovery. --- Paula Wood.
