I was a little turned off at 1st cuz everyone on every corner of society is screaming at everyone to watch it, but I watched it and was pretty hooked >_> I liked it a lot

I do have some questions about the ending:

Did Gi-han seriously just leave Sae-byeok's kid brother in the orphanage for a year while he figured himself out? I guess he didn't rescue the mother from China either. What a dick lol.

Also, so much getting custody of his daughter with all the money >_> Dude failed on every level after winning.

Why the red hair >_> I get he's trying to reinvent himself as a sort of rebirth but he looks so fucking stupid

So was Player 1 actually in any danger during the games or would he have been secretly spared if he lost during stuff like Tug O' War or Honeycomb?

I guess my only complaint is that the whole organ trafficking subplot felt really insignificant once it got resolved >_> You could take that whole thing out of the plot and literally nothing would change. But otherwise it was really good and always felt engaged with it.

Is there a 2nd season on the way? The ending makes it look like it could go either way with continuing the show

Old guy had no stakes but if he messed up like in red light game, it would have foiled the disguise

Player 1 was always safe, the robot in the first game couldnt scan him and his cuffs in the tug o war game were not locked. The final twist really made him into a bullshit character imo.

Yeah, I liked the last episodes too. A part of me doesn't want the show to continue cuz the ending is pretty good, even if it is slightly open-ended. Buuuuuuuut I do want more Squid Game tho lol

The writer/director shopped this around for like 10 years before it got made. This is his baby. He said (according to a youtube comment, lol) if there is a second season he would want to hire a writing team and I'm just afraid there would be a quality drop. But I'll watch if it happens, I'm sure.

That and the cop subplot felt literally pointless lol. Like why was it significant that Front Man was the cop's brother? You'd think a former "contestant" clawing his way to becoming the front man would be a bigger deal but nope.

I watched it with subs but just to see I watched the first episode with dub and it really was, I want to say, good? I don't watch dubbed things but I was surprised. The VA for Gi-hun is really good imo. He sounds familiar.
