Only to order takeaway for the next few days and eventually go into the fridge to find all those ingredients I brought ages ago rotten and spoilt.

I hate being so lazy and unenthusiast about cooking.

I do the same thing. It's easy to let certain ingredients spoil.

I often make stew and just throw all ingredients in the pot just so they don't go bad. It actually makes for some interesting flavor combinations as well.

Buy frozen/dry goods as much as possible so they don't go bad.

I wouldn't call it "laziness" unless you don't work. People just don't have the time to cook and that's perfectly reasonable.

What ya gotta do is stop kidding yourself. It's easy to think you'll have energy to cook and be excited to make a dish on Tuesday night, only to be exhausted after not only working but sitting traffic for 45 friggin' minutes. Gotta either partake in meal prepping on Saturday, pre-made ready-to-quickly-heat-up meals for every night of the week. Or go to the deli counter at your grocery story, grab some ham or turkey and cheese for easy sandwiches.

Highly recommended because it'll reduce spoilage therefore reduce your grocery bills, and it'll reduce all that money you spend on takeout.

I feel like people really over complicate cooking and eating. It's probably just that I'm lucky to... essentially be a boring eater. I can make something one day and be completely fine eating it for lunch and dinner the next few days.
Or be completely satisfied cooking up something very simple for dinner.

The only thing I regularly let spoil is milk, just because I rarely use it all within the week and a half or so that it's good.

I have two slices of cheese. You know the ones that come individually wrapped? They've been there awhile. I don't wanna throw them out but I'm not sure I should eat them. That and frozen Nutella.

Yeah I usually just stir up some meat and veggies in a pan with a bit of water. Its still time-consuming with the grocery trips and everything but once the food is in the pan it doesnt take long.

Depends on my mood. Sometimes Ill drink a gallon a week, but right now for example I have several half-gallon cartons that are about to expire.

I only use it for oatmeal and cooking. Hate drinking milk.
