So I noticed that horizontal shot videos are larger in size than vertical shot ones. Like the videos can be the same resolution and length of time, yet the horizontal video will be like twice as large. Right now I'm downloading a 13 minute 720p YouTube video and it's 170 mb in size. Well yesterday I downloaded a different video which was the same resolution, about the same length, yet was only about 70 mb in size.

I notice this with many videos. Actually I dislike horizontal videos a lot. And would wish always for vertical shot ones. Anyone have any idea?

A movie, some videos and more look much better with this ratio. Note that vertical ratio like short videos are quite nice too.

I like vertical videos a lot. They feel more personal when shot. Especially If the person is filming themselves. But I can't figure out the large size difference
