Corporatism is when companies control the laws

The government has little power over large companies in the US currently. This has already happened, 100 years ago, and we dismantled that system. Ever since, conservatives have slowly removed those laws and we're right back where we started

Listen, while giving all authority and production to the government is scary or whatever, no we don't fucking need literally twenty brands of cheerios or 13 brands of dish soap.

Like capitalism is supposed to incite innovation and efficiency yet what we get is a dozen brands copying each other to create almost identical products.

All you do in a "great socialist utopia" is reduce everything to two: the shitty "proletariat" version, and the nice version reserved for the elites.

There's still spoiled assholes driving Lamborghinis. All that changes is everyone else can only get a Trabant.

Makes me wish for someone who'd have the balls to fix all of this to get into power, but such a person would have no chance of even making it close in the current climate.
