Carol is like her MCU version in the comics. Her modern style is abrasive, which is why a lot of comic fans don't really like her either. I don't know enough about the character's LONG history to know why she's like that, but the anime seems to have been more inspired from those other depictions and/or her origin story where she was younger.

I figured, but I didnt think DC and Marvel would name the character the same as the Greek God, but I guess I overestimated them.
