The quality of the series gets progressively worse after Black/White(2). Just keep that in mind.

Emerald, Platinum, Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Black/White, and Black 2/White 2 are considered to be the best entries in the series. After BW2, it's been downhill.

Moon Ultra is pretty good for 3DS. Playing through Sword now and it's kind of bogus but the trainer waifus are top notch.
