Turkey is great. Most people just overcook the damn thing and it becomes too dry. Then they cut the breast with the grain (instead of against it like you're supposed to) which gives it a weird grainy texture on top of being dry.

Properly cooked and properly carved turkey is fantastic.

This. Cook a turkey breast properly and it's really good.

This....if your turkey is coming out dry, try filling under the skin with onions as well as stuffing onions inside the turkey (mixed with stuffing) to keep the turkey moist

Also: Brine yo turkey in salt water for a few hours to lock in that moisture

Youd best be fucking kidding. Try the wildflower turkey from your local deli. Then try the Cajun turkey from your deli. They cant even cut chicken that moist. Foh. The only people who cook dry turkey suck at cooking turkey. Turkey is the GOAT.

I've had moist turkey before and the breast meat still tastes weird when roasted.

The best tasting meat on the turkey is actually in the neck.

The best method to cook a turkey is to fry it, not battered on the outside like you're frying chicken though. Inject it with cajun seasoning and drop it in a deep fryer. The meat is well seasoned and moist.

ya I did that. not bad, but effort to result isn't that good.

preferred smoked, lower effort and I think tastes better. however, I'd pretty much rather smoke anything else.
