Mug just makes steal worse and FF9 is notorious for it's awful steal chances

Steal and damage at the same time. This game is all about Stealing. It also makes that one Skill super strong of youve stolen enough Items. So all I do is steal with him, but Mug would make it much quicker

Mug kinda sucks in that game. Bandit is better.

Also doing 5000 with Ultima Weapon works just as well really. Dont need 9999 really. Just time wasters. Stealing, killing dragons, frog catching etc.

It's not challenging to steal, just boring. Some of those bosses took me 50+ attempts my last playthrough, and it wasn't fun.

The only challenge that takes away is the challenge of staying awake while failing to steal the same item for more than 20 minutes.

From memory the big ones are HD backgrounds, looks nice as fuck, and Orchestra ost replaces some of the music

There is another mod you can play with it called Alternatw Fantasy. It has some balance changes and makes the game alot harder. But most importantly, it adds Beatrix as a recruitable character

Take a look. It is the definitive way to play the game. One of the nicer things I do not see mentioned there is the ability to improve the battle frame rate.

As for the Alternate Fantasy thing mentioned above, there is also an option to do the "most important" part separately from any sort of balance changes.
