This game just a certain style, Im curious to see where we still stand after all this time. Its very serious, and magical. And stoic. And kind of emo. But if rank it up there as being pretty important. Id like to see more games like that, like The Quiet Man, like QuanticDream, and Kojima, and generally see us move more and more into VR, Sims, Interacting with your favorite character, and exploring new mediums. So yes. I like SotC a lot & would... do stuff like that. Like Deracine a little maybe.

I'd say it's more on my "most important" list, rather than "most fun" list. I had fun with it, and it was beautiful, but mostly I just remember it as a really unique concept and execution.

Thats just the thing.

i dont think it is that unique, but it really really nailed what it was going for. You want people to forget that theyre playing a video game, while giving them as much freedom as possible.

I haven't played it.

I have the ICO+ Shadow of the Colossus HD Remaster for PS3 and love Ico but it's a hard game and I want to beat it or at least experience more of it before I start Shadow. Should I just play it anyway or are the two even that strongly related?

Minecraft is more important, but weve also really been stuck there a very long time.... so in a way, fuck Minecraft

Zone of the Enders, Metroid Fusion, Kotor (Kotor is really interesting, because were willing to take the slog HARD for that story. Happily.)

didn't care for it, tbh.

I played it to try it out, and after the first few colossi, I just wanted to finish the game and never play it again.

the last boss also pissed me off for a bit until I realized what to do.

Sekiro is a very good example. Because you definitely know youre playing a game. Oh yes.

I rate it as my favorite first play through of any single player game game, and my 3rd favorite game of all time. My favorite moment in gaming is the Avion fight.

Eh, I played the ps3 ico and shadow of colossus collection. I found the game more frustrating than anything because some of the colossi give no time to charge your attack before they start shaking you off. I remember the third colossus was really fucking bad with this.

Dead Space isnt bad. Gears too.

On the flip side you got games like DeadRising which just take what could otherwise be a straightforward narrative... and they turn it into a cartoon arcade game of crazy symbols & points & flair & catchphrases.
