I keep trying to play it like pokemon as in collecting everything and raising to higher levels. The huge storage space the game gives you suggest that's not so wrong.

But the ABI stat is what really gates you from the higher tier digivolutions. So it's probably better to just have 3 digimon and take them through a bunch of different forms and accumulate inheirted skills over the course of the game. Though I heard there was a cap on the skill pool though.

Yeah, a cap on skills.

Later on, you can get both digimon and items that will boost experience gained after battles, making levelling significantly easier. At that point, between the speed up grind and the already unlocked forms, you can experiment a lot more.

Angewomon is my healer <3 Gatomon was so OP for champion early game though.

The hardest content so far has been the bad hacker guys and they frequently use dark-virus types.

It's like bringing a psychic type against Team Rocket.

Always ended up getting Angewomon and Lady Devimon. You'll want a digimon with defense pierce like the Kuwagamon line, just a tip.
