It's the lotr mod for total war. I'm sure there are others but it was essentially completed and is therefore the go to.
Why is it SOOOO hard? All the turn reports for any of the factions you take rank you weak as all get out, bottom runging all of the rankings unless you're Gondor or Mordor. Honestly, neither of those factions is much fun because there is so much management to do and if an ally fails you're stuck fighting on two fronts which is always a losing battle. Anyone else play this and have strategies for it for a legit playthrough? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

All Total War games are a commitment.

Aye but this is particularly brutal. I hate the way it spawns units when you start a siege, makes the bigger locations impossible to take.

What is the base game that mod is for? Medieval 2, Total War SiO4 posted... Spawns? In real time? If you're doing a campaign and siege an important spawn(you cannot assault without siege weapons the first turn), by the next turn they will have spawned a bunch of units, typically. There are SOME spawns you can take by bringing siege weapons I suppose but it's not really feasible considering the distance for some. Isengard for example is practically untakeable even with two full stacks of units without perfect composition --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
