I think it's more the multiplayer component... since you find items for other people's games and vice versa

Multiworlds are not new, nor are hints for one player being in another player's game, in a multiworld.

The randomizer's discord should help with finding people to multiworld with.

I have done it in the past, so I could always look into the set-up and see if it still works on my end. I remember them looking into modernizing the system.
