Doubt it. Me and my wife are basically going blue no matter who in the midterms considering how many Republicans voted no on the abortion protection bill earlier. Like abortion is a bottom line fundamental right and 99 percent of dems support it. We'll probably vote for progressives where we think they have a shot, but otherwise there's just no point in even googling a Republicans stance in shit anymore.

For real. I'm super conservative financially and it's obvious that the GOP has no idea what it means. They're wasting tax dollars left and right, and refuse to try and invest in programs that will have a positive net effect on the bottom line like Medicaid, public transportation, and public education.

No they wont, not when the 600k plus that died from covid - assuming every single one of them is Republican - are unable to vote which will put a serious damper on the party with 70 plus million voters. Its statistically significant, the political experts on CE are right as usual

This is a very safe bet even without looking at the last 9 months of governance and whatever the next year will look like. It's a well-worn pattern of elections.

I hope not becuase it will be the end of the world if it happens this time. I can't even imagine how I will be able to survive a Republican controlled government ever again. I will be a subhuman with little to no civil rights.

They will though. There is going to be way less turn out because they dont have Trump to rally against, a lot of GOP run states are amending voting districts (gerrymandering) which will steal seats, and the dems failure to get anything done with control will sow apathy with a lot of people.

That's incredibly hyperbolic doom-saying. The most likely thing to happen with either party in control, and especially with a divided government, is basically nothing. Nobody seems to have even the will, let alone the ability, to pass any kind of significant legislative agenda.

Women are definitely losing bodily autonomy within a few years and the seeds are already being planted to strip the LGBT community of human rights under the guise of religious freedom. Once the Republicans take back control and eliminate democracy, society is dead for all but the loyalists.

Between all the attempts to gut voting rights, people being so fucking stupid to think current failures are because of democrats, and casual voters caring a lot less because Trump doesn't need to be voted against, it's definitely a possibility that republicans have bigger turnout
