How about a gameshow where the top 144 most wealthy in the world have a battle royale and all losers have their assets seized to improve the world. The winner gets to keep their assets, but must enter the next time there's a competition even if they aren't worth enough to qualify the best time around.

Hold them every 6 months. We'd still not be close to running out of hundred millionaires after a decade.

my idea makes sense because poor people would obviously WANT to be on this gameshow. They want...no, they NEED the money.

I feel so pissed off about the media industry. They'd rather let folks already stable with income and a great family, wife and kids and good future prospects play games where they earn even more $$$ kaching! instead of letting the impoverished people have a chance.

I have a hard time with gameshows where the winnings go to charity. It just feels weird that people in need get less money because famous person didn't know a random obscure fact.

Nothing morally wrong with it, it's just kind of sticky for me.

Sad part is I meant that mainly as a joke.

But... I have no doubt it would be wildly popular if they at least vetted the contestants to be interesting.
