I'll never not be annoyed that the whole movie is based around poor protocol when they can't get a reading at all on the tracking device and everybody just goes into the enclosure to gawk.

I liked the second Jurassic World better, but mostly because it had more dinosaur variety and a better use of the Tyrannosaurus. The first JW was all about the Indominous Rex.

I don't like how borderline fetishistic the nanny's death was.

People always talk about the nanny's death, but I feel that Richard Schiff from JP2 isn't included enough in the "unnecessarily brutal deaths" discussion. Dude was torn in half and used as a chew toy after saving everyone else's lives, and the very last human interaction he had on this earth was a bunch of dumbasses making jokes about cheeseburgers and milkshakes and whatever the fuck while he bailed their asses out.

The director is clearly pissed off / cynical about the movie. It's impossible to tell what's a mistake and what's a deliberate choice.

I think we can at least agree there hasn't been a "good" JP movie since the original

I'm gonna say Jurassic Park > Jurassic World > The Lost World > Fallen Kingdom > Jurassic Park 3.

JP3 is just indefensible.

I have no idea where the budget for JPIII went. It's half an hour shorter than the other films but it was the most expensive of the original trilogy.

Apparently there are more effects shots in it, as well as scrapping an entire draft of the screenplay despite having spent several million dollars in prep.
