I tried five different places and when I found my place I stayed for a few days and every day I felt like "wow I'm home"

Weather and the type of people that live there play a massive part, more than most people realize I think

It doesn't matter where I live. As long as I can post on GameFAQS I am home.

I wouldnt say I have for sure. Im here because of circumstances. Maybe those circumstances will keep me here, or maybe I can find somewhere far away after a time.

I haven't. I lucked out on an uber cheap house that I'm committed to until some people die, then I'm gonna wander.

Where do you live now TC? I took several road trips to look at possible places

It's different seeing places through a "could I live here?" mindset

I'm not the TC, but if you don't mind me asking, where did you finally settle? I've taken a few road trips and I never felt any place necessarily "fit" me more than any other. Also, how long did you do the road trips for? I had a friend who spent a few weeks in Oregon, then in Utah, then Colorado, but after a year he just went back to South Carolina where he was originally from...

Grew up in Dallas, lived in Denver for a few years after college. Currently in Austin. I'm realizing I'm not a fan of Dallas/Austin/Texas anymore. Just too big. But it's where my college friend are, family is, and as I'm getting older, raising a family in the future, etc. I can understand that has advantages.

I'd ideally go back to Colorado to be honest

first house I bought before I had children 12 yrs ago was because it was close to everything, basically middle of the city, now I moved 30 mins north and the focus is nature, family is never too far

always worked from home so never an issue where Im located

Im really happy with the new house, no neighbor behind, just trees
