Criminals pick easy targets. If nobody's an easy target, crime is a lot riskier. Plus, you don't want to be one of those people saying "it will never happen to me" only to find it happening to you and you're utterly defenseless.

It's no wonder America is the only first world country to have mass shooting problem. This idea that to solve the issues with guns is with even more guns, normal people would call that a fallacy.

I'm not a researcher, I'm just putting forth my opinion on the subject based on what I know about the crimes committed in my area. Usually, the criminal is a coward. Usually, they run at the first sign of substantial risk.

Also based on my experiences in towns with a lot of guns (almost everybody in rural Missouri has one or more guns, and is usually carrying) I'm not that worried about an increase in violent conflict. Most people aren't dumb enough to shoot someone over an argument.

B) You still haven't shown any proof that increased gun ownership makes criminals more scared....are rates of muggings lower in Texas for example?
C) Are you seriously arguing that rural Missouri represents the rest of the country?
D) What do you define as most people'? We have numerous stories of people getting into physical altercations over trivial matters.
E) That's not even accounting for the increased deaths by suicide or accidental shooting following more guns. Here's where your own state had a spike after loosening gun laws
