You may want to get a functioning Gamecube sooner rather than later. The nostolgia cycle has already started on that console. Wiis are super easy to find, but for how long?

Yes. Get one now before you have to spend more later. Twin Snakes isn't getting any cheaper...

Wii is the more economic option, the component cable is far cheaper and you get to play more games (including *ahem* homebrew).
