It would be crazy if the time travelling villian actually was responsible for creating a villiain from the hero he so idolized, who becomes the true villain, even more vile.

Then the hero from the other timeline has to break into another dimension to clean up the mess he made. Or some shit.

Is there a source that ever says why he hates Barry so much? is it jealousy? Even in Flashpoint, Reverse Flash didn't really do anything wrong.

There are a few details that vary from story to story. Basically, Thawne was a big fan of the Flash in the distant future, and a scientist, who went out to replicate the experiment that gave him his speed. He eagerly traveled back in time to present day (technically his first time he arrived after Crisis on Infinite Earths).

He went to the Flash Museum when he arrived, and made a discovery: Flashs worst enemy was known to be Reverse-Flash, but in the future his name was lost to history. In the present it was well known Thawne himself. Not only that, Reverse-Flash was so terrible that he was the only rogue that Barry ever had to kill.

So effectively, Thawne discovered Barry was destined to kill him before he ever met him.
